Review review review

Today was just a day of review. Though, it was my first time going in for the morning instead. I decided to make more use of my days that I would change my lessons on Thursdays and Fridays to mornings instead of mid-day. With them in the middle of the day I was leaving late morning and not getting home until late afternoon/evening. So now I just put up with the morning commute and have my flight lessons on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 in the morning til 1030. This also in turn helps me maintain my regular schedule of getting up at 545 in the morning.

Today we took flight at around 830AM. Except this time, the Chief Flight Instructor came as a ride-along. It was both to make sure that I was ready for my stage check on Saturday morning with the check-flight instructor, and that my instructor is teaching me everything I need to know. All my maneuvers were great! I kept them all within 100 feet of the designated altitudes, which are needed for practical test standards when I go for my private pilot license with the examiner. Tomorrow we start touching on some short and soft field take offs and landings, which are part of stage 2 - but we're only doing that so we don't get behind and waste a lesson in between waiting for that stage check saturday morning. Then on Saturday afternoon I should have my next solo flight, and actually get to fly out to the practice area by myself.

All in all things are progressing well, and I will be starting my cross-country flights and first night flight in the next 2 weeks. Cross country is not actually cross country, but a flight to a different airport at least 51 nautical miles away. Martha's Vineyard will be one of my trips!
