So here it is.....one day left. I was supposed to have today off from work, but they were 1 person short and I didn't mind the overtime. So instead of doing absolutely nothing today, like I planned, I ended up working 7.5 hours of overtime. Yesterday morning I achieved my goal of getting my 1st Class Medical Certificate and Student Pilot Certificate. Basically, that allows me to fly by myself when I begin the solo portion of my training. Tonight will be further review of my private pilot book.

After work I received a call from Chris Porter at Horizon Aviation to see if I was willing to move my lesson back to 330 tomorrow afternoon instead of 1, as the 152 I was scheduled to be in has to have some required maintenance and he just wanted to be sure that it would be ready for me to fly for my lesson that afternoon. On the other hand, if it isn't ready, all is not lost. I will still be able to go up, but in a 172 instead of a 152

for my first lesson. The only difference between these two is that the 172 has a bigger motor, is a little bit bigger, and therefore can carry more than 2 passengers. I've included pictures of the 152 (Yellow/Blue stripe) and the 172 (All White w/Blue & Gray Stripes).
